Turn off metered billing for one merchant
We have a merchant who we'd like to offer a free version of our app to. The app uses metered events to bill merchants. Is there a way to turn off a metered event for an individual merchant?
Since you send in the metered events in all cases, can't you just not send it in? I have toyed with this problem for a subscription billing, and the solution I came up with, although I haven't tried it, is to create a free subscription tier, have the merchant subscribe to it, and then disable the pricing tier. That way, they are grandfathered into the free price. I have a couple of merchants that are from non-profit museums and I have toyed around with giving them my app.
