General OS Update question

How do OS updates happen? Are they over the air? If they are deployed to another location, must they be recalled?

Yes, your device will receive regular OTAs as they are published.

Not sure I understand what you mean by "deployed to another location". Can you elaborate?

Would this situation apply? If devices are deployed to multiple locations where no one has the technical permissions or expertise, would the devices need to be recalled to an administrator that is privileged to perform any OS updates?

What Jeff said is correct. OS updates are downloaded from our servers automatically when they are available. They do not require an administrator to install. If the device is currently in use a dialog will appear allowing the user to delay the update for a while. When the device is not in use the update will be installed immediately.

Note that OS updates are not as frequent as Clover app updates.
