One of my merchants is wondering if clover supports the feature of store credit. He is going to allow his customers to buy a purchase-plan for credit every month to buy a certain amount of laundry-service in his store, and would like to track his customers credit as they spend it.
Would this be in the domain of a custom tender, or a gift card for clover? Anyone implemented something like this before?

Clover does not have the concept of store credit. You could implement this w/ a custom tender. It's then up to the custom tender implementation to issue and redeem the credits. I guess the way it might work is: when you sell a credit, you just charge them the amount, then go to a 3rd party app that can issue a credit. Maybe that is a receipt with a barcode on it the maps back into your system that tracks the credits. The custom tender could then scan the code and map it back your system and perform the accounting.
