We are building an online ordering app, that lets customers open an order from their phone. The order is then sent to the Clover POS.
Our scenario is that:
A bar or restaurant has 3 devices
Employee A is clocked in Device 1
Employee B is clocked inDevice 2
Employee A is clocked in Device 3
I would like to assign the order to the employee that is clocked in Device 1. How can I do that?
Clocked in is clocked in across the cloud. So 1 is the same for all. The passcode assigned to each employee will assign the orders to them specifically regardless of which device they are on.
You can go to the device list and specify a prefix code to orders created in different devices, if that helps.
When you create the employee profile in the employees app, they have a passcode assigned. When they enter that to get into the system, then any orders they enter will be assigned to them.
They can log in with the same passcode for any terminal. The only reason to log into the same device would be for cash management out of the same drawer. If that is even necessary.
