We are using CloverCFPActivityHelper to show our web page on Customer Facing device, and we managed to implement it.
But we came across with two blocking issues:
1. When we click on text field on Customer Facing device on Station DUO keyboard is not popping up, but on tethered MINI keyboard is popping up correctly and we are able to type. Is there something that we need to do, to be able to show keyboard on Customer Facing device on Station Duo?
2. When merchant enables TIPs ( Ask for tip ) in Register app ,we have a problem that affects the payment process.
- Merchant starts our Digital Loyalty app, and our CFP activity is started on customer facing device automatically. After that merchant opens Register app ( our CFP is still active on CF device ), and add some items in order. When merchant click on Pay button our CFP activity is still active, but when merchant click Charge on Connected Device, CFP activity disappears, and screen to add Tip is shown on CF device. When Customer select one of the options, Welcome screen appears on CF device and Merchants device is stuck on Customer is tipping..
After that merchant needs to Exit from payment, and again click on button Charge on Connected Device. When button is clicked, customer is again asked to add tip, and when customer select one of the options, it is redirected to payment screen to pay with card.
When payment is finished our CFP activity is shown on CF device.
When Marchant removes tipping part, everything is working as it is expected since customer facing device is directly switched to Payment screen to pay with card.
Should Clover automatically manage with Customer facing device screen ,since Register app has priority over other apps?
Also if you are familiar with this issue can you tell us what we need to do to fix it?
