Beginning April 18 Clover will severely reduce the rate limits and regularly expire merchant generated API tokens. Merchant generated API tokens are designed for development and testing purposes only, and are not supported for production apps.
There is no impact if you retrieve API tokens programmatically using OAuth or the Android SDK. Merchant generated API tokens in our sandbox environment are also not impacted.
We’d like to remind developers merchant generated API tokens misuse may result in termination of the developer's account or API token deletion. After April 18, we reserve the right to further reduce rate limits on merchant generated tokens without notice.
