Clover application questions:

1.) Would I be able to build an app that communicates with a database that we host, to store additional customer data (for membership status etc)?

2.) Why does the Clover devkit disallow saving CC info per customer? It has a button for it, but it is non-functional. It also seems the actual Clover also does not have the button.

Up to 2 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 512.0 KiB each and 1.0 MiB total.

My guess on #2 is PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance. PCI has some very strict controls about how card information is stored and managed. Google for "PCI Standards" and you'll probably find more than you can possibly use (I am involved with this professionally).

For 1), would you mind sharing more specifically what you're trying to accomplish? Our APIs do support Webhooks, if you're looking to build an app that communicates with our database in real time.
