create line items multiple quantity

If I wanted to add and item with more then 1 quantity would I have call create line item for that one item the number of quantities I have?


Example:

I have 3 apples in my cart and already created the order for, would I have to call the createLineItem api 3 times for the same item to get the quantity in clover to 3?
