Payment token from Clover device

Hi all, we're new to developing with Clover and I'm hoping somebody could tell me if something is possible with the Clover Connector Browser SDK.

Using this SDK, can you capture credit card details from a Clover device without actually performing a sale? i.e. we just want a payment token.

And then once we have that payment token, we'd like to perform one or more sales transactions via our app - and refunds when required.
