Check Scanner Integration

I would like to use a network attached check scanner for accepting check payments with Clover. With scanner access being via HTTP/HTTPS, is their any need for hardware support to be added by Clover for this device or should any app be able to communicate with the device through the OS instead of the Clover SDK?

If your device works over HTTP/HTTPS, you can just use the standard networking APIs provided by Android in your implementation. Your implementation will need to handle discovery and communication with your scanner. Hope this helps.
