API Identifying if merchant is a paying customer, or Clover staff ?

In our Web App, I'm trying to offer an import of sample Inventory and Customer data for sales staff when wishing to demonstrate our system. I don't want this option to be available to paying customers/merchants.
Is this information exposed via an API GET of the Merchant?
