Flex barcode scanner cannot be closed

The programmatic barcode scanner on Flex opens in full screen, hitting back or swiping away the app that created it does not kill the screen. It looks like the only way to make the screen go away is to actually scan something. Is this intended and if so what approach should we take if the merchant no longer wishes to scan something?!

I think the idea is that you'd stop the scanner programmatically when your activity stops. The user can also press the barcode scanner button to dismiss.

I agree that it'd be nice if the UI had a close button of some sort.

Thank you Jeff I foolishly didn't even think of closing it myself. Also I did not see the physical barcode scanner button for quite a while so I wasn't having a particularly clever day :)

Can you try to press and release physical scan button (left side)?
