Update Multiple Items in a Single Call

We're trying to optimize our item calls given the 15 call clover limit.
It will really help to be able to update multiple items in one call (bulk update).

Does anyone know if this update is in the works?

There is no update in the works for this, but I will take your request and create an enhancement request for it. Thanks for the suggestion.
