A way to hide categories from register app

Viewing the categorized item sales report is the best way to see how well certain types of products are doing. In our case, though, having every item in it's own category is not reasonable. So for us, there's no way of doing this without cluttering the register app for our cashiers. We'd love a way to put all of our items into a category while being able to pick and choose which categories are displayed on the register app main screen.

There's also a per-item sales report. So not sure why you'd need or want to put each item in a category. But anyway not sure if this helps, but Register also supports an "items only" view. Click the vertical 3 dots in the upper right and select "Register Display".

There's otherwise no way to white or blacklist the categories for the Register app.

There are a lot of ways to hide categories from the register app. You can use filters, or you can hide categories by specific words or phrases. You can even hide categories by location, or by specific time periods. snake io
