Does non clover device app require app approval?

I'm posting here again because I don't see any answers and not sure who to contact for advice on semi integration. Looking to build a non clover device android app that can communicate with clover server via REST api (create order, fetch merchant info, etc)

as OAUTH2 is required to obtain access token to REST api, and assuming this only can be done in the "web" app on clover device, what is the best practice for non clover device integration (semi integration)?

making a "web" clover app for OAUTH2 purpose only and store the token somewhere safe and using it to access clover server in my non clover device app would work ? If not, what is the best practice to get access token in non clover device app via clover's auth server

Hello, yes, all apps must go through our approval process.

For a REST Pay Display integration though, the process is simplified and faster if it is setup correctly and not using any additional API's besides the required Merchant Read API.

thanks Thomasson for getting back to me. so regarding OAuth2 implementation on non clover device that will use pay display API, is this how the flow is going to be?

1. user opens the android app on non clover device

2. redirect them to clover auth web page so that they can add credentials

3. get redirected to the app with access code, and exchange it to access token in the backend by calling the endpoint

4. perform actions by calling pay display api endpoints with the token
